About
Michael Parrella is a Brooklyn-based cinematographer and visual artist. With 10 years behind the camera, he’s worked for companies like Vice, BBC, and ABC. His narrative projects have screened at Rhode Island International Film Festival, New Fest, Bushwick Film Festival, and Hudson Valley Film Fest.
Growing up in a small beach town, Michael has an exquisite eye for texture and color. With a strong graphics background, he storyboards and creates lighting diagrams for every project, so he can closely collaborate with directors and work efficiently with production’s constraints. His goal is always to create the most beautiful and effective images on time and under budget.
When he’s not taking photos under the Broadway J train, he is rolling around on the dance floor and talking about himself in the third person.
